Heavy Industry & Process

Gicam technology can use DED laser cladding to repair large, expensive components used in the steel, cement, paper, and material handling industries, such as cylinders, bands, rollers, and rollers. It targets only the worn area, without replacing the entire component, to minimize production downtime.

Oven and continuous casting rolls

Numerous rollers on a single line, continuously worn down by abrasive products: an economic challenge involving both volume and technical considerations.

Reloading the outer bearing → Without removing the entire roller shaft.
Adjustable composition → The specified composition may change based on metallurgical feedback.

FAQ

Why repair so many rollers on a single oven line?

Because there are often many of them and they wear out at the same rate when exposed to abrasive products—their high replacement rate represents a significant economic challenge, which localized recharging helps to reduce.

Can you use a different coating alloy from one repair to the next?
